Oyster 26 Overview
This Oyster 26 “Silver Dreams” is a fast and rugged pocket cruiser with good accommodation through a well laid out interior. Her cockpit is spacious for a 26-foot boat with the main sail traveller being forward towards the companionway giving space to move about. The East Coast racing scene boasts two of these that invariably lead the pack so this is an opportunity to join the club and earn bragging rights in the Club House.
This example is a project that was started in readiness for a full refit. Internally the head linings are down but appear to be mostly present so can either be reinstated or used as a template. The boat was originally fitted with teak decks, these have been removed with all of the screw holes epoxied, so it is ready for fairing and painting. The boat has also been fitted with a NEW Volvo Penta D1-20 on a saildrive.
