Beneteau Flyer 8 Spacedeck Overview
The Beneteau Flyer 8 Spacedeck is built for boaters who want maximum versatility from an 8-metre platform, without giving up performance or build quality. Its Air Step® hull delivers a stable, confident ride with strong acceleration – the kind of composure that lets you focus on the day ahead rather than the conditions underfoot.
What defines the Spacedeck is its completely open layout. Deck space has been prioritised over fixed fittings, so the boat adapts to what you’re doing rather than dictating it – fishing one day, watersports or diving the next, relaxed cruising with friends the day after that.

Performance & Handling
The Air Step® hull improves lift and efficiency, helping the Spacedeck get onto the plane quickly and hold its stability once there – useful whether you’re pottering on calm inland waters or pushing on along a more exposed stretch of coast. A sharp entry below the flared bow and a V-bottom shape smooth out the ride through chop, while the wide bow makes it noticeably easier to get on and off the boat when mooring bow-to-dock.

Exterior Design & the Open Deck Plan
The flush-fitting deck plan is the whole point of the Spacedeck: nothing gets in the way of moving freely from the aft swim platforms right up to the bow, which matters as much for a day of sport fishing as it does for wrangling watersports kit. Lowered pulpits streamline the silhouette further and keep sightlines to the water clear rather than boxed in.
A Modular, Multi-Use Cockpit
At the stern, the Flyer 8 Spacedeck continues its no-nonsense, highly functional approach. The open cockpit layout gives excellent access around the engine and swim platforms.
The bolster seats pivot a full 180°, turning the cockpit into a sociable space around the table for up to six – handy for the days the boat is about company rather than casting a line. When it isn’t, the same cockpit reconfigures as a dedicated fishing station or a sunbathing area, and a water-ski pole can be fitted for towing. Twin swim platforms either side of the outboard make it easy to get in and out of the water, whether that’s for diving at anchor or just cooling off.
An optional fishing station (replacing the aft bench seat) adds five rod holders, three fish tanks – including a live well with its own seawater circuit – and a foldaway bench with stowage beneath, so the boat can be properly rigged out for anglers rather than just accommodating them.

Forward Deck & Sundeck
The spacious forward deck balances active utility with pure relaxation. It can be kept completely clear for practical use, or adapted with seating options depending on the day. A clever seating arrangement quickly converts into a generous sundeck, while keeping the wide bow entry fully accessible for effortless boarding and mooring line handling. Built-in under-seat storage keeps your gear tucked away, ensuring the deck stays safe, clear, and ready for action.

The Cabin
Beyond the sliding translucent door lies a surprisingly versatile sanctuary, offering 1.62m (5’4″) of headroom and secure lockable storage for peace of mind while ashore. Designed to support long, effortless days on the water, the cabin keeps key battery controls and stowage neatly organized.
Customise the space with a marine or electric head, an integrated 42L fridge to keep drinks cold, or an optional child’s berth (1.45m x 0.83m) – giving little ones a cosy spot to nap while you enjoy the sun above.
The Helm
Positioned for optimal visibility and effortless control, the central helm puts total command at your fingertips. Framed by a sleek, tinted PMMA windscreen with a protective handrail, the ergonomic dashboard houses up to a 12″ multifunction display, integrated 12V/USB ports, and built-in footrests for fatigue-free cruising.
Standard hydraulic steering delivers precise, responsive handling, while the 360° swivelling pilot and co-pilot bolster seats allow you to transition instantly from navigating the coast to entertaining in the cockpit.
Flyer 8 Spacedeck Pilot Edition
For a bolder look, the Pilot Edition special edition adds:
- Grey hull with elegant hull and T-top decoration
- Special edition upholstery
- Black pulpits and a sport steering wheel
- Underwater lights and cockpit LEDs (in the trim)
- Bolster seats included as standard
- Bow sunbathing area
- Foldable benchseats in the cockpit
A Connected Boat
Through the Seanapps mobile app and onboard unit, owners can check the status of the boat’s systems – including battery charge, fuel and water tank levels, and maintenance scheduling – straight from their smartphone, as well as plan routes and review sailing status on the move.
Engine Options
Factory pre-rigging is available for a wide range of outboards between 200hp and 350hp, including Suzuki (mechanical or electronic keyless), Honda, Yamaha and Mercury, up to a 350hp Mercury Verado V10 – so power can be matched to whether the boat’s spending most of its time trolling for fish or covering ground quickly.
Optional Extras
Beyond the engine, cabin and Pilot Edition options, the Spacedeck can be further tailored with:
- Bimini or full T-Top (white polyester roof, black aluminium frame), with matching sunshades for the cockpit and forward sundeck
- Leaning post with sink and worktop, plus two foldable seats at the freeboard
- Bow thruster, Lenco electric trim tabs or Zipwake automatic trim system
- Stainless steel or black ski mast
- Shore power socket (220V) and battery charger
- Fresh water electric toilet, or marine toilet with 88L black water tank and gauge
- Ocean Blue hull colour (RAL5024)
Why Choose the Beneteau Flyer 8 Spacedeck?
The Spacedeck’s strength is its lack of compromise between uses. The same open cockpit that seats six around a table for lunch reconfigures for serious fishing or watersports within minutes, and the flush deck plan means nobody’s climbing over fixed seating to get there. It’s a boat built to be used hard and often, rather than one that asks you to plan the day around it.
For those wanting more distinction still, the Pilot Edition adds a bolder look and extra standard equipment on top of the core package.
