Beneteau Flyer 8 Sundeck Overview
The Beneteau Flyer 8 Sundeck takes the idea of a versatile day boat and stretches it into something more refined, more spacious and noticeably more capable offshore. Built on Beneteau’s proven Air Step® hull, it delivers a soft, confident ride when the water chops up, while still offering the speed and responsiveness of a modern performance cruiser.
The standout feature is the generous forward sundeck, integrated neatly above a genuinely usable cabin below. That combination of a big, welcoming lounging area and a practical interior gives the Flyer 8 Sundeck an appeal that stretches well beyond simple day boating, with enough onboard comfort for the occasional overnight stay.

Performance & Handling
Built on Beneteau’s Air Step® V-bottom hull, the Flyer 8 Sundeck is designed to stay stable and predictable through a range of sea states while keeping cruising comfortable. Top speed sits around 40 knots, with an easy cruise around 22 knots – performance figures will vary depending on the outboard fitted, as the Flyer 8 Sundeck can be pre-rigged for a wide range of engines.

Exterior Design & Deck Layout
The Flyer 8 Sundeck’s long deck profile gives it taut lines and a streamlined silhouette, with sloping hull windows adding to its sporty character. A wide Smart Walkaround gangway on the port side gives safe, easy access to the spacious foredeck, home to a double sunbed with reclining backrests.
On deck you’ll also find:
- Self-bailing mooring locker with hatch cover
- 2 forward, 2 amidships and 2 aft aluminium cleats (200mm)
- Stainless steel bow roller and winching ring
- Telescopic swimming ladder and portside access to the water
- Locked storage on the starboard aft platform
- Stainless steel pulpits and handrails around the coamings, cockpit bench and forward sundeck

A Social, Modular Cockpit & Sundeck
From the moment you step aboard, the focus is clear: comfort without compromise. The large forward sundeck is the defining feature, offering a generous, welcoming space to stretch out and enjoy time on the water.
The wide, deep, self-bailing cockpit (1.83m x 2.15m) is designed for entertaining. Twin bolster helm and co-pilot seats, folding lateral benches, and a convertible aft bench (seating four and folding down into a sunpad) combine to seat up to eight for dining, with plenty of deck space still free to move around. The aft bench can also be hinged out over the swim platform to extend the sunbathing area, with open storage beneath its starboard side for stowing loose gear without lifting a lid.
Seating is generous and well-positioned, creating a relaxed, open atmosphere that works just as well for entertaining at anchor as it does for cruising along the coast. Movement around the boat is intuitive and safe, with thoughtful use of space ensuring nothing feels cramped, even with guests onboard.
A fishing station is available as an option in place of the aft bench seat, adding five rod holders, three fish tanks (including a live well with seawater circuit) and a foldaway bench seat with stowage beneath.

A Comfortable Cabin for Day Trips – and the Occasional Night Aboard
Below deck, the saloon converts into a double berth, with storage under the front seat and a cubbyhole to port. Two LED ceiling lights, interior curtains and an opening deck porthole keep the cabin bright and ventilated, with headroom of 1.31m.
There is a sink with tap and space for a fridge and microwave as optional extras. A head compartment provides space for a marine or electric WC as an option, ventilated via an opening deck porthole.

The Helm
The steering station is built around the driver, with a tinted PMMA windscreen, a dashboard laid out for a 12″ screen and electronics, fuel gauge, and 12V/USB sockets. Hydraulic steering comes as standard, and the pilot and co-pilot seats have a bolster function for a commanding, adaptable driving position.
The console is ergonomically arranged with excellent visibility, giving a natural, confident feel whether you’re easing out of a marina or opening the throttle offshore. It’s a boat that feels stable and predictable, yet still lively enough to make the journey just as enjoyable as the destination.
