Beneteau Flyer 7 Spacedeck Overview

The Beneteau Flyer 7 Spacedeck is built for open-water freedom – a compact, high-performance day boat where usable space and simplicity take precedence over everything else. As its name suggests, the “Spacedeck” design keeps the deck completely open from bow to stern, maximising usable space and allowing for a variety of activities and purposes.

Powered by Beneteau’s signature Air Step® hull, the Flyer 7 Spacedeck delivers confident handling, quick acceleration and a smooth, controlled ride – agile without ever feeling twitchy, and reassuring even when conditions become more challenging. It’s a boat that feels agile without ever feeling twitchy, striking that rare balance between excitement and reassurance.

Performance & Handling

The Flyer 7 Spacedeck uses Beneteau’s Air Step® 2 hull, which helps the boat lift onto the plane quickly and stay stable even at full speed, translating into a smooth, enjoyable ride whatever the water conditions.

A choice of outboard pre-rigging packages is available from leading engine brands – Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha and Mercury – spanning from 115hp up to 200hp, so the boat can be specified to suit the way you plan to use it, from relaxed cruising to more spirited days on the water.

An Open, Adaptable Deck Layout

True to its name, the Spacedeck’s defining feature is its completely open deck layout, maximising usable space from bow to stern. It’s a design that puts the choice in the owner’s hands: set it up as a dedicated fishing platform, a practical workhorse, or a stripped-back social space for days out with friends. Nothing feels cluttered – every part of the deck is accessible and purpose-driven.

Forward, the layout can be left open for easy movement around the boat, or configured with seating and lounging when comfort is the priority, with safe circulation maintained throughout – a real plus for families, anglers and anyone who values usable deck space.

At the stern, the open cockpit gives unrestricted access around the engine and swim platform, making it just as well suited to watersports, diving or fishing as it is to simply relaxing at anchor.

Confidence at the Helm

The console is clean, ergonomic and intuitive, giving the driver excellent visibility and control. A wraparound windscreen with a handrail, plus handrails along both symmetrical side decks, help keep movement around the boat safe underway.

The dashboard includes a location for a 9″ screen alongside rpm, trim and fuel gauges, a sports steering wheel, hydraulic steering, fitted footrests, and 12V and USB sockets. In the standard specification, a leaning post sits at the helm; step up to the Elegance version and this becomes a 360°-swivelling, adjustable pilot and co-pilot seat pairing with a bolster function.

It’s a setup that encourages relaxed cruising but still delivers plenty of confidence when you open the throttle. The Flyer 7 Spacedeck feels equally at home drifting along the coastline or pushing out into more open water.

A Sociable, Practical Cockpit

This is the space where the day really happens – big enough the hang out with friends, easy enough for kids to move around safely, and practical enough that nobody has to choose between fishing gear and picnic gear. The cockpit saloon is surprisingly large for a boat of this size, with a wide, deep, self-bailing cockpit measuring approximately 1.65m (5’5″) in length and 2.09m (6’10”) in width.

Rotating bolster seats combine with built-in side bench seating to seat up to 6 people, so there’s always room for one more, while the 3-person cockpit bench seat has a fixed seat back as standard – or convert it to a sun recliner in the Elegance version for lazy afternoons in the sun.

Practical touches make all the difference: under-banquette stowage and a large lockable cockpit locker (also housing the 170-litre/45 US gallon fuel tank) keep kit out from underfoot, portside access to the sea and a telescopic swimming ladder make swimming and watersports effortless, and locked storage on the starboard aft platform keeps valuables secure while you’re in the water. Two cup holders and two rod holders make it a genuinely angler-friendly space too, all accessed safely through a security door.

This gives you the freedom to configure the boat exactly how you want it – whether that’s a fishing-focused setup, a practical workhorse layout, or a stripped-back social platform for days on the water with friends. Everything feels uncluttered, accessible, and purpose-driven.
