Beneteau Flyer 10 Sport Top Overview

The Beneteau Flyer 10 Sport Top takes the flagship Flyer platform and adds a whole new level of protection, versatility and all-weather capability. Built for boaters who want the space and performance of a large day cruiser but with added comfort when conditions change, it introduces a sleek hardtop with an integrated sliding roof, creating a flexible environment that adapts to sun, wind or spray with ease.

Built on Beneteau’s Air Step® hull, the Flyer 10 Sport Top delivers confident offshore performance with impressive stability and efficiency, while the hardtop and full-length windscreen make the cockpit and helm feel enclosed and secure when needed, yet open and airy when the roof is retracted. It’s a combination that suits changeable UK conditions particularly well, extending the usable season and keeping time on the water enjoyable across a wider range of weather.

Performance & Handling

Power comes from a single or twin outboard setup of up to 600hp, with the Air Step® hull – Beneteau’s patented stepped-hull design – helping the boat rise quickly onto the plane and stay composed through chop. Beneteau’s own figures put the Flyer 10 Sport Top’s top speed at up to 35 knots.

Fuel is carried in two sealed and ventilated aluminium tanks totalling 800 litres (2 x 400L), giving the range for longer coastal passages that the Sport Top’s added protection is designed for.

Hydraulic SeaStar PowerAssist steering keeps handling light and precise, whether cruising offshore or manoeuvring in tighter marina waters.

All-Weather Protection, Open-Air Feel

What sets the Sport Top apart from the standard Flyer 10 is its hardtop with electric sliding roof and full-length translucent glass windscreen. Closed up, it turns the helm and cockpit into an enclosed, protected space; opened, it returns the open-air feel of a day boat. Designed as a compromise between a day boat and an express cruiser, it combines the layout and sunbathing space of a large open boat with the comfort of a hard top overhead.

The steering station seats four – two bolster helm seats facing the console plus a two-passenger bench seat to port, each with an integrated bolster function – while access to the cabin is via a sliding door on the foredeck, reached through a double access door.

Two Cabins for Overnighting

Below deck, the Flyer 10 Sport Top offers the same two-cabin accommodation as the rest of the range. The forward saloon converts into a double berth (up to 1.96m x 1.70m), while a separate mid-cabin houses a second double berth (2.02m x 1.48m), lit by a panoramic hull window with an opening porthole.

A full bathroom sits alongside, with a marine toilet, 80-litre holding tank, basin with mixer tap, mirror and storage – plus a shower kept separate behind a translucent door.

Inside, Alpi walnut woodwork and brown oak laminated floors give the cabin a warmer, more finished feel than a typical day boat.

A Galley for Life Afloat

As with the rest of the Flyer 10 range, the Sport Top is set up for two styles of cooking. The companionway galley unit comes with an 80-litre fridge for proper provisioning on longer trips, while a second galley in the cockpit offers a two-burner gas hob, sink and storage, with the option to add a further fridge for entertaining without leaving the group.

A Cockpit and Sundeck Built for Groups

The wide, deep, self-bailing cockpit seats up to eight and converts easily for sunbathing: the rear bench seat folds back into a sun deck, and the solid wood cockpit table (1.05m x 1.20m) folds down into a sun pad of its own.

Forward, the integrated sundeck offers a lounging area for three, blending naturally into the boat’s overall design rather than feeling like an add-on.

A cockpit shower is standard for rinsing off after a swim, and a large, lockable central cockpit locker with gas-piston assisted opening provides useful stowage, alongside space for a liferaft on the aft transom.

Safe, Sociable Deck Layout

Access around the boat has been thought through carefully, with a safe semi-walkaround passage to the foredeck, stainless steel handrails fitted throughout the cockpit and pulpit area, and a stainless steel security door for peace of mind when boarding. A telescopic swimming ladder makes getting back aboard after a swim straightforward.

Confidence at the Helm

The helm is built around a translucent glass windscreen with a front access door for excellent visibility and protection from the elements. The dashboard has space for electronics up to a 16-inch screen, with a rev counter, trim gauge and fuel gauge close to hand, plus a sports steering wheel as standard. Both helm seats adjust and include a bolster function, so you can sit or stand depending on conditions.

A Connected Boat

Through the Seanapps mobile app and onboard unit, owners can check the status of the boat’s systems – including battery charge, fuel and water tank levels, and maintenance scheduling – straight from their smartphone, as well as plan routes and review sailing status on the move.
