Moody 419 Overview
This Moody 419 “Wings” is a well-equipped and capable cruising yacht, offering spacious accommodation and a comprehensive inventory for coastal and longer-distance cruising. Built in 1986 to a Bill Dixon design, she has a fin keel, centre cockpit and a spacious three-cabin layout offering up to 10 berths with two heads. She is powered by a 50hp Beta diesel engine fitted new in 2016, as well as the standing rigging in the same year. Cabin
The accommodation offers up to 10 berths in three separate sleeping cabins away from the main saloon and approximately 6’2″ maximum headroom. Up forward, there is a V-berth with infill to create a comfortable double berth, with good stowage underneath. Eye level shelving, hanging locker and opening hatch to the foredeck. Moving aft, there is the guest cabin with two single bunk beds and a hanging locker. Opposite to starboard is a heads compartment with a manual marine toilet and basin, shower and shower pump.
Stepping aft into the main saloon, there is a single settee berth to starboard and settee to port that converts into a double berth. Large central table with folding leaves and bottle storage. Good stowage around the saloon with additional lockers. The L-shaped galley is positioned aft to port and is equipped with a Neptune two-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, fridge, stainless steel sink and good storage. Opposite is the forward-facing chart table with further storage, navigation equipment and the electrical distribution panel.
A separate heads compartment is located aft to port and incorporates a Jabsco marine toilet, washbasin with manual freshwater pump and storage. The aft cabin with access to starboard and provides a generous double berth with hanging locker.
The interior is finished with blue upholstery (new 2016), a mixture of teak/laminate sole boards. Webasto diesel-fired cabin heating. Pressurised hot and cold water system throughout, heated by the engine and an immersion heater. Clock and barometer.

Masthead-rigged Bermudan sloop. Deck-stepped silver anodised aluminium mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2016). Terylene running rigging (new 2016). Slab-reefing mainsail with lazyjack system. Headsail furling system (new 2019). Five Lewmar sheet winches. Three Lewmar halyard winches. Reefing winch on the mast. Spinnaker pole.
