Custom 30ft Sloop Overview
Oronsay is a unique 30ft sloop, conceived from the Fareham Boat designs and built by the father of her current owner during the 1970s, before being first launched in 1978. She has been well cared for throughout her life and combines traditional design with several thoughtful modifications, giving her a distinctive character and proven cruising capability.

Cabin
Offering upto 4 berths in a traditionally laid out interior with plenty of natural light and ventilation. Up forward, is a double V berth with an infill. Good stowage under the berth and deck opening hatch. Stepping aft, there is a full width heads compartment with a Jabsco manual marine toilet to port. Opposite to starboard is a shelving and a Waeco, front opening fridge/freezer.
Moving into the saloon, there is a linear galley to port with a Taylors two burner kerosine hob, single stainless-steel sink with a pressurised cold water supply. 125L freshwater capacity. Plenty of stowage lockers around the galley. Opposite to port is the L shaped dinette with a removable table. Forward facing chart table is the starboard quarter with the electrical distribution panel and navigation equipment. Two quarter berths. Striped upholstery.

Construction
Built by first owner in mid-1970’s and first launched in 1978. Modified “Dancing Spray” sloop from the Fareham Boat designs. Thames marine plywood with a double-chine hull with bronze fastenings. Light grey painted topsides. Wooden frames. Teak decks are laid on marine plywood sub-deck. Lead fin keel with stainless steel bolts. Wheel steering to a skeg hung rudder. Last surveyed in 2016.
