The Hallberg-Rassy 31 is one of the most respected sailing boats of her era -designed by Germán Frers and built in Sweden, she has earned a devoted following for her build quality and seakeeping ability. Calidris, a 2000 model, is a particularly fine example presented to the highest standard both on deck and below – and she is ready to go!
The equipment levels are excellent. Powered winches, a powered windlass and an updated chartplotter meaning Calidris always works with you rather than against you. All lines are led aft to the cockpit, making her easily managed single-handed.
In April 2023 Fox’s Marina carried out a comprehensive repower, fitting a new Volvo diesel engine along with a new sail drive gaitor, folding propeller and rope cutter. With just 150 hours logged since, the new owner inherits a virtually fresh installation – one of the most reassuring things you can say about any used yacht. The standing rigging was replaced in 2011 and has been professionally inspected every year under current ownership. All running lines look like new, and the teak deck is in good order. A new genoa was fitted in 2025, meaning Calidris is genuinely ready to sail without delay.
A fresh sprayhood and the characteristic Hallberg-Rassy fixed screen ensure forward visibility and weather protection in all conditions.
The interior continues to impress, and is extremely well laid out for her size. Two separate double cabins, one forward, one aft, along with a full-size saloon, ample galley and dedicated chart table deliver the comfort you would expect from a considerably larger yacht. The joinery shows no signs of wear, and the sole boards are bright and fresh; a clear reflection of the care the owner has invested throughout.
