Pegasus 800 Overview

Cabin
Offering 5 berths in 2 cabins with good headroom. Up in the forepeak, there is a double v-berth Saloon consisting of settee berths either side of a central table which can drop to form a double berth on the starboard side. In the port quarter in the separate heads compartment with a Jabsco manual marine toilet. Sliding galley aft to starboard over a quarter berth with a 2-burner Tilley gas stove with grill and sink. 12 volt portable fridge. Curtains. Beige upholstery throughout.

Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Deckstepped alloy mast and boom. Stainless steel standing rigging (new 2026). Terylene running rigging. Slab reefing mainsail with stackpack and lazyjacks. Selden headsail furling system (new 2026). Two Gibb genoa sheet winches. Halyards led aft to jammers on coachroof with single Gibb winch. Single keel winch in companionway. Backstay adjuster.

Construction
Built in 1979 by Rydgeway Marine. White GRP hull with red stripes. Moulded off white non-slip decks. Steel centreplate operated by winch on companionway step, with rod to push keel down if it gets stuck. The centreplate was removed in 2009 and new centreplate fitted including new 1″ swivel pin. Self-draining cockpit. Tiller steering to a skeg hung rudder.
