Cabin
The accommodation is arranged to provide up to 8 berths in three cabins, with cream deckheads, teak interior woodwork and generous storage throughout, making Clemmy particularly well suited to extended cruising.
In the fore cabin, two single berths convert to a double berth with infill, with good stowage provided by hanging lockers and shelving. The original pink Dralon upholstery remains, complemented by corner reading lights and a large opening deck hatch. Forward access hatches beneath the berths provide access to the chain storage. The forward heads compartment is finished in white melamine with teak detailing and features a teak floor grating, shower, washbasin and Lavac marine toilet with pump, together with useful storage cupboards.
Moving aft into the saloon, the accommodation provides a sociable and versatile living space. The saloon was re-upholstered in 2009 with washable ‘suede look’ sky-blue fabric and new foam seating. An L-shaped seating arrangement surrounds a central table with folding leaves and kingpost, with the saloon capable of comfortably seating up to twelve for dinner. The port-side berth converts to a double with pull-out and infill cushions, while a further single berth is provided to starboard. There is extensive concealed storage behind and beneath the seating, together with shelves, bottle storage and drawers. Four windows with rails and curtains, two opening deck hatches and plentiful handholds provide a light and practical cruising environment.
The navigation station is positioned to port & aft in the saloon with dedicated seat, storage, shelf, window and curtain. A removable six-step ladder provides access to the cockpit, with additional storage and coat hanging space around the companionway.
The linear galley is situated aft to starboard with a walk-through to the aft cabin and incorporates twin stainless-steel sinks, red tiled work surfaces and a Dometic gimballed three-burner gas cooker with grill and oven, replaced in 2018 and fitted with automatic ignition. There is a top-loading fridge with small ice box, pressurised hot and cold water, manual salt and freshwater supply, four drawers and excellent cupboard and shelf storage. A small opening window and fan provide additional ventilation.
To port is the fourth cabin/workshop, accessed both from the accommodation and via the lifting cockpit seat. It contains two bunks currently used for storing ropes, fenders and other cruising equipment, together with useful engine access.
The spacious full-beam aft cabin provides a particularly generous owner’s accommodation, with a large double berth to port which can be extended with infill to create one very large berth incorporating the settee. A further settee/single berth is positioned opposite. There is excellent storage throughout, including a full-height corner cupboard, large wardrobe with hanging space, shelving, drawers beneath the berth and storage beneath the side shelving. A dressing table with mirror and light, lifting desk-style top and additional seating add to the practicality of the cabin. The steering mechanism is located beneath the double berth and remains readily accessible through removable cushions and wooden panels.
The aft cabin benefits from its own en-suite heads compartment, finished in white melamine with teak detailing and teak floor grating. It incorporates a shower, washbasin, electric marine toilet, holding tank, mirrors, lighting and useful storage cupboards.
The interior is heated by a diesel-fired warm-air heating system, while most of the interior lighting has been upgraded to LED.
