LM 27 for Sale

The LM 27 is a much-loved boat from the respected Danish yard LM Glassfiber A/S, and a popular choice for those who want genuine weather protection at sea without sacrificing the pleasure of open-air helming. The semi-enclosed wheelhouse keeps crew comfortable in poor conditions, whilst the large aft cockpit with tiller steering invites you to enjoy the helm when the weather obliges.

Phoenix is in unusually good condition for a vessel of her age and has clearly been well cared for by her current owner. Her hull has recently been sanded and treated with epoxy, and she comes with a strong suit of cruising sails and all the inventory needed to get straight out on the water.

Viewing is by appointment only – please call 01473 971971 or email enquiries@foxsyachts.co.uk

Cabin

Phoenix offers accommodation for six berths across two cabins, with good headroom throughout, a generous arrangement for a 27-footer. Forward, the V-berth cabin features an infill to create a comfortable double, a foredeck hatch for light and ventilation, and stowage beneath the berths.

The saloon is a sociable and practical space, with two settee berths that both convert to doubles, a fixed table with drop leaves, and ample further storage. A separate heads compartment to port houses a Jabsco marine toilet and a slide-out washbasin, with a generous hanging locker opposite to starboard.

Steps lead up to the semi-enclosed wheelhouse, where the helm is positioned to starboard and the galley sits opposite. The galley is fitted with a Neptune two-burner gas cooker with grill, a stainless steel sink with cold water supply, a fridge, and good storage throughout. The wheelhouse also benefits from generous stowage beneath the sole, and the full cockpit cover extends weather protection further aft. Steering is by wheel in the wheelhouse or tiller in the cockpit, giving welcome flexibility for different conditions and passages.

Further comforts include a diesel-fired cabin heater, 121 litres of freshwater capacity, striped upholstery, curtains and carpets throughout, and 12-volt interior lighting.

Phoenix was built in 1984 by LM Glassfiber A/S in Denmark to a design by Palle Mortensen. She features a white GRP hull with a blue styling stripe, GRP superstructure, and moulded non-slip deck surfaces throughout. The long keel with encapsulated ballast delivers the directional stability and confident seakeeping that the LM range is known for, whilst the keel-hung rudder is served by both wheel and tiller steering. The aft cockpit is self-draining, and the semi-enclosed wheelhouse is complemented by a full cockpit cover.
