Hustler 25.5 Overview
The Hustler 25.5 is a pretty and well-regarded family cruiser, combining lively sailing performance with predictable handling. Equally suited to fast coastal cruising or a spot of club racing, she offers an enjoyable and affordable introduction to yacht ownership.
Son of a Gun has remarkably remained in the same ownership for the past 50 years and benefits from having had her original engine replaced with a Yanmar 1GM10 diesel inboard engine. Cabin
The accommodation offers four berths in a simple and traditional layout. Up forward in the forepeak is a central marine toilet, together with a hanging locker and useful storage. Moving aft into the saloon, there are two single settee berths to port and starboard, both fitted with lee cloths and single pilot berth to port. Ample stowage is provided behind and beneath the berths. Green vinyl upholstery throughout. In the starboard quarter is a forward-facing chart table with navigation equipment and dedicated chart stowage, with a single quarter berth extending aft. Opposite to port is the L-shaped galley, equipped with a single plastic bowl sink with a manually pumped cold water supply and a Dometic two-burner spirit hob.

Masthead rigged Bermudan sloop. Anodised aluminium mast and boom by Proctor Spars. Stainless steel standing rigging. Terylene running rigging (2015). Slab reefing mainsail. Construction
Hustler 25.5 built in 1976 by Landamores to a design by Holman & Pye. White GRP hull, superstructure and decks with grey painted non-slip surfaces. Fin keel. Tiller steering to transom hung spade rudder. Aft self draining cockpit. Epoxied below the waterline in 2001 (gelshield). Two keel bolts drawn in 2025 – very good condition.
