Saga 26 Overview
The Saga 26 has a reputation built on Norwegian sea-keeping pedigree, stable, capable, and confidence-inspiring in conditions. Designed with a long keel and a hull that eats up chop rather than fighting it, she delivers a ride that keeps everybody aboard comfortable and in control. Deck
The full aft cockpit enclosure with roll-up sides keeps the worst of wind and rain at bay, while two windscreen wipers deal with spray without fuss. When the sun shows up, the enclosure comes down, the sliding sunroof opens to flood the cabin with light, and a bimini keeps the midday glare off the helm. She transitions from snug winter cruiser to open summer day boat in minutes, and does both brilliantly.
Wayward’s generous stern platform and swim ladder make her practical in equal measure – a dream when mooring stern-to in a continental harbour, or simply somewhere to sit and dangle your feet when you’re swinging quietly on the hook. Small detail, big difference.
Cabin
Step below and Wayward opens up far more than her 26 feet might suggest. The forepeak offers a proper double berth forward with an additional crew berth to port, comfortably sleeping three, making her ideal for a weekend with family or a mate along for the ride. The heads is self contained on the starboard side.
The galley sits in that clever transitional position between cockpit and cabin, keeping the cook involved in whatever’s happening on deck. To starboard you’ll find a twin hotplate and sink with three drawers for utensils and a cupboard below, compact, but everything you need for proper meals aboard.
Storage is generous throughout, with good space beneath each berth. Nothing feels squeezed or compromised.
Evenings in Wayward can be bliss. The Webasto diesel heating system transforms the cabin on a cool evening into somewhere you genuinely want to spend time; warm, dry, and thoroughly comfortable. The cockpit infill creates a vast double to relax or sleep on, and the enclosure keeps things cosy when the temperature drops. Off-season cruising? Absolutely no problem.
