Hanse 400 Overview
A great example of the Hanse 400! Bow thruster, heating, tall rig and ready to launch, Le Bot could be your next boat. Room for a large family or plenty of friends to enjoy, this is the sought after 3 cabin / 2 heads version.
She has been in the same ownership since new and has all the paperwork to support including proof of UK Vat paid should you wish to venture further afield. She has had a winter cover each year and her engine winterised every year from new.
Deck
Up on deck the theme of ease and convenience continues throughout. An electric anchor windlass makes weighing anchor effortless, and a bespoke step aids access from the pontoon. A folding table on deck, steps to the mast, and a bespoke binnacle give a clearer view of navigation equipment. The cockpit is dressed with two custom-made seat cushions, and a full cockpit tent was added in 2023. Also included are a spinnaker and snuffer pole, fenders, a bow fender, mooring lines and a sail bag.
Cabin
The forward cabin is spacious, with a good-sized heads and ample storage making for comfortable and well-lit private quarters. The saloon offers generous seating around a large dining table, complemented by two directors’ chairs opposite alongside a centre navigation table. The galley is well equipped with twin sinks, fridge and cool box, gas hob and oven, good food preparation space, a wine rack and wine glass holder. Entertainment is provided via TV or Radio CD Player, with an abundance of 13-amp power sockets throughout. All cabins include mattresses, wardrobes, and heating vents for the Webasto heating system, which was replaced in 2021. The aft heads is conveniently positioned opposite the two double aft cabins, with holding tanks fitted for each heads and hot and cold running water throughout.
Sails & Spars
Tall rig. Sails date to 2017 and are managed with ease thanks to a self-tacking jib and two electric winches; one original specification, the other a more recent addition. A 130% genoa and spinnaker with snuffer pole are included.
Electrical & Electronics
Batteries are charged by engine, solar or shore power (cable included), with new batteries fitted in 2025. A new Garmin chartplotter on a bespoke pedestal was installed in 2024, along with a new ICOM radio, wireless windex (2024), and an AIS transceiver. Includes an autopilot and the Webasto diesel heating system (replaced 2021) serves all cabins via vents throughout.
Machinery
The engine has been winterised every year from new and was serviced in 2025. The saildrive diaphragm was replaced in February 2021. Records are available to support ongoing maintenance.
Safety
Seago 4-person life raft (due a service). Bow thruster for added manoeuvrability in tight situations.
Construction
