Beneteau Flyer 10 Overview
The Beneteau Flyer 10 is the flagship of the Flyer range, and it wears that title well. Twin outboard power, Beneteau’s Air Step® 2 hull technology and a genuinely versatile layout combine to give it the presence and performance of a sports cruiser, while still offering the overnight comfort of a proper weekender.
She was named European Powerboat of the Year 2020 in the up-to-10-metre class, recognition of just how well Beneteau have blended a day boat’s looks with a live-aboard’s practicality. There’s no SUNdeck or SPACEdeck suffix to pin down exactly what the Flyer 10 is – and that’s rather the point. It’s a boat that resists easy categorisation, at home on a fast coastal run, anchored for a family lunch, or moored up for the night.

Performance & Handling
Power comes from twin 350hp outboards, and the Flyer 10’s Air Step® 2 hull – a patented Beneteau design – uses stepped sections along the running surface to reduce drag and get the boat onto the plane quickly. Beneteau’s own figures put top speed at over 40 knots, and independent sea trials have recorded speeds of up to 42 knots, with the boat reaching 20 knots in around nine seconds and 30 knots in around sixteen.
Fuel consumption at a 20-knot cruise comes in at approximately 92 litres per hour, giving a realistic range of around 160 nautical miles at a 24-knot cruising speed from the 800-litre fuel capacity, carried in two sealed and ventilated aluminium tanks.
It’s a hull that stays composed as conditions build, making the Flyer 10 as suited to longer coastal passages as it is to a quick blast out of the marina.

Sports Cruiser Looks, Genuine Versatility
The Flyer 10’s styling sets it apart from a typical day boat. Taut lines and a full-beam windshield with side panes give her a real visual presence, while the driving station is built to seat four people facing forward – two bolster seats beside the console plus a double bench to port – so nobody misses out on the thrills underway.
Rather than a conventional walkaround, the Flyer 10 uses Beneteau’s “smart walkaround” concept: a single asymmetric walkway to port keeps movement around the boat safe and easy, while freeing up noticeably more deck and cabin space than a traditional dual-walkway layout would allow.
Two Cabins for Overnighting
Below deck, the Flyer 10 offers two-cabin accommodation. The forward saloon converts into a double berth (up to 1.96m x 1.70m), while a separate mid-cabin houses a second double berth (2.02m x 1.48m), lit by a panoramic hull window with an opening porthole.
A proper heads compartment sits alongside, with a marine toilet, 80-litre holding tank, basin with mixer tap, mirror and storage – plus a shower cubicle kept separate from the toilet by a translucent door, so getting ready doesn’t mean queuing.

A Galley for Life Afloat
The Flyer 10 is set up for two different styles of cooking. Inside, the companionway galley unit comes with an 80-litre fridge for proper provisioning on longer trips. Out in the cockpit, a second galley sits behind the driving station with a two-burner gas hob, sink and storage, with the option to add a further fridge – ideal for cooking up something quick without leaving the party.
A Cockpit and Sundeck Built for Groups
The cockpit is where the Flyer 10 really earns its “liveaboard dayboat” reputation. The saloon seats up to eight and converts easily into a sunbathing area, helped by a solid wood cockpit table that folds down into a sun pad of its own.
Forward, the spacious sundeck becomes a true highlight. It’s integrated into the design rather than added on, giving a clean, elegant look while offering a proper lounging area for sunbathing and relaxation underway or at anchor, with space for three to relax in comfort – and it’s well worth upgrading to the optional individual lounge seats if you want a proper spot to stretch out.
A rigid T-top or bimini can be fitted to shade the cockpit, and a cockpit shower is standard for rinsing off after a swim.

Safe, Sociable Deck Layout
Access around the boat has been thought through carefully. The single asymmetric walkway to port keeps movement safe without eating into deck space, stainless steel handrails are fitted throughout the cockpit and pulpit area, and a stainless steel security door adds peace of mind when boarding. Swim platforms sit either side of the outboards, with a telescopic ladder for easy access back aboard after a swim.
A large, lockable central cockpit locker with gas-piston assisted opening provides useful stowage, alongside space for a liferaft on the aft transom.

Confidence at the Helm
The helm is built around a full-beam windscreen with side panes for excellent visibility, and hydraulic SeaStar Power Assist steering for light, precise handling. The dashboard has space for electronics up to a 16-inch screen, with a rev counter, trim gauge and fuel gauge close to hand. Both helm seats adjust and include a bolster function, so you can sit or stand depending on conditions.

A Connected Boat
Through the Seanapps mobile app and onboard unit, owners can check the status of the boat’s systems – including battery charge, fuel and water tank levels, and maintenance scheduling – straight from their smartphone, as well as plan routes and review sailing status on the move.
Why Choose the Beneteau Flyer 10?
What makes the Flyer 10 stand out is its refusal to be pigeonholed.
