Aft cockpit, tiller steered, 6 berth performance cruiser. The Beneteau First 310s is the pre-cursor to the incredibly successful First 31.7 and with her twin spreader rig and deeper keel, Oxo is a great example. Designed by Groupe Finot and built by Chantiers Beneteau in 1991.
White GRP hull, cove lines and boot top stripe. White GRP superstructure with moulded in non slip pattern. Self draining cockpit with teak slatted seats. Internal, structural GRP moulding with varnished cherry and cherry faced ply internal joinery. Cast iron bolt on fin keel. Semi balanced spade rudder, tiller steering and tiller extension. Drop down seat leads to step down to bathing platform.

From forward:
V berth forward with hanging and storage lockers. Saloon with settee berths to port and starboard and midships drop leaf table. Aft facing chart table with seating on end of starboard settee. Galley to port with SMEV gimballed stainless steel 3 burner gas cooker with oven and grill, stainless steel sink, cool box with 12v fridge unit, good stowage, crockery and cutlery. Separate head to starboard with Par ITT manually operated sea type WC, stainless steel washbasin and hanging space. Good size double aft cabin with large berth and hanging locker. Cold only fresh water transom shower.
Volvo 2002 twin cylinder, raw water cooled, 18hp diesel engine. Single lever controls, reversing reduction gearbox, electric start, shaft drive to two bladed feathering propellor. Engine last serviced May 2023 in Weymouth. 6 knots cruising, 7 knots flat out.
Fuel: 65 litre rotomoulded tank.
Fresh water: 170 litres in rotomoulded tank
12 volt system – 4 x 12v batteries, new in May 2022. Charged by engine driven alternator or mains battery charger. 12v interior lighting throughout. Standard navigation lights inc bow, stern, steaming.
240v system – Shore power cable, inlet, RCCB, battery charger, immersion heater and 2 x 240v outlets.
‘S’ Version with a twin spreader, fractional, tapered mast. 1 x 19 stainless steel wire standing rigging (last changed approx 2004). Slab reefing boom. Solid boom vang. Adjustable backstay. Terylene running rigging, led aft, through organisers to clutches. Spinnaker gear including pole.
