Centaur is a fine and original example of Kim Holman’s classic Stella class. She has enjoyed a careful and considered history of guardianship on both the south and east coasts, where she has been raced, cruised and loved for more than 50 years. Most recently she has enjoyed ongoing, meticulous maintenance by her experienced current owner while based at Fox’s Marina & Boatyard on the river Orwell in Suffolk. Over the last 10 years various specialist repair and maintenance work has been carried out to a high standard - including keel bolts, removal and re-bedding of ballast, partial re-fastening, topsides refinishing, epoxy/glass sheathing of decks and a complete professional re-wire. She has given her current owners much pleasure and many hours enjoying local cruising and some classic racing on the east coast of England. Her conventional interior offers comfort for two and can accommodate four if the bespoke stainless steel framed pipecots are installed in the forepeak. Despite having been subtly optimised for racing, the vessel retains the most fantastic original charm and provides much satisfaction of ownership and the inevitable ‘Nice Boat’ comments from all who see her!
