Description

Designed by Bob Johnson and built by Island Packet Yachts, USA in 1997.

The Island Packet 40 is a substantial cutter rigged long keel cruising yacht with two good sized cabins, two heads compartments and spacious saloon.

One owner from new, ?Island Race? has been well maintained and is equipped for comfortable cruising.

British SSR Registered, VAT paid.

Construction

Ivory white solid laminated GRP hull with IP’s “FULL FOIL” long keel

Encapsulated ballast of over 40%. Keel hung rudder with Whitlock cable linked wheel steering and emergency tiller. Rudder shims replaced

Varnished teak bowsprit and capping to raised gunnels

Ivory white GRP cored deck, GRP superstructure and self-draining aft cockpit. Moulded non-slip deck surfaces.

Internal GRP structural moulding with teak internal joinery.

Engine

Yanmar 4JH 50hp freshwater cooled 4-cylinder diesel engine flexibly mounted with heat exchanger and wet exhaust.

Reversing reduction gearbox, keel protected shaft driven Varifold propeller.

Ignition panel in cockpit coaming. Pedestal mounted single lever control.

Engine professionally serviced annually
