Description

The Hardy 24 is a versatile and rugged compact cruising/fishing boat. Classic Hardy style with over 150 built, this extended wheelhouse demonstrator has had many updates and improvements by Windboats, Norfolk, new builder.

Accommodation for 2 and a large, deep, secure aft cockpit plus legendary seakeeping qualities for fishing. Fitted with a 180hp diesel, she is capable of up to 25kts, cruising at 20kts. CE Cat C.

Designed by Colin Mudie and built by Windboats Hardy Motorboats in 2014. £49,950 inc VAT or £41,625 Ex VAT for export.

Construction

White GRP hull with grey style stripe. White grp deck and superstructure with moulded in non slip surfaces. Large self draining aft cockpit. Rubber rubbing strake. Stern mounted bathing platform with bathing ladder. Internal structure by way of bonded in, resin coated plywood grid and bulkheads.

Engine

Yanmar 4BY3-180Z, 4 cylinder, fresh water cooled, turbo charged diesel engine mounted in sound deadened box at aft end of cockpit. Yanmar ZT370 sterndrive with stainless steel duo props. Single lever, electronic control. Eltrim trim tabs. Max approx' 25kts, Cruising speed approx 20kts.

Tanks

275 litres Diesel in stainless steel tank.

50 litre Fresh Water “Jerry can” tanks.

Electrics

12v system. 1 x 12v battery with battery isolator. 12v distribution panel. Charged by engine alternator. 12v interior and navigation lights.

Deck

Deep protected sidedecks with surrounding stainless steel bow rail and deep bulwark. Stainless steel cockpit guardrails with corner lifeline gates.Wheelhouse mounted stainless steel grab rails. Heavy duty mooring cleats. Moulded GRP stern platform with telescopic bathing ladder. Delta anchor with chain and warp. Mooring warps and fenders.

From forward; V-berth forward with cushions and stowage under. Sea toilet with privacy curtain. Up to wheelhouse – Helm station with upholstered, folding seat to starboard with helm, ignition panel and Navigation equipment. Upholstered and folding co pilot seat to port with fitted galley under with sink and manual cold water. Fore and aft settees and cabin table. Plenty of ventilation with sliding windows either side of wheelhouse and large opening wheelhouse doors.

FYS Comments

The well known Hardy 24 has been used for all sorts of purposes from Harbour ferry or fishing boat to rescue and support vessels, true testament to the versatility of both the hull design and the motorisation options.

The long wheelhouse version increases internal accommodation whilst retaining the secure cockpit and is a really practical day fishing/weekender.

This ex demonstrator is now available with very low hours and manufacturers warranty.
