Description

25ft long keel aft cockpit pocket cruising yacht based on the popular Fisher 25 hull.

New 30hp diesel engine, new standing rigging and Mainsail & Genoa in 2016.

A sturdy boat wanting some TLC.

Designed by Gordon Wyatt / Fairways Marine and built by Northshore in 1973.

Dark Blue hull (2 pack painted in 2016).

Varnished heavy teak rubbing strake, bulwarks and cap rail.

Long centre keel with encapsulated lead ballast.

Keel / transom hung rudder with tiller steering.

Off white GRP deck, coachroof and self-draining cockpit

Grey Treadmaster non-slip deck surfaces.

Timber / ply fixed companionway shelter.

Pine interior woodwork.

Engine

NEW 2016 - Volvo 2030 three cylinder 30HP diesel engine. Approx. 120 hrs.

Fresh water cooling with heat exchanger. Reversing reduction gearbox with shaft driven 3 bladed propeller.

Stripper rope cutter.

Fuel – 55 and 46 litre Polyprop’ tanks – new 2016

Freshwater – 70 litre Polyprop’ tank – new 2016

Large chart table aft to stbd, slides under cockpit to reveal a good size quarter berth.

FYS Comments

The Freeward 25 is a surprisingly roomy shoal draft cruiser ideally suited to pottering about the rivers an estuaries of the East Coast. They have excellent headroom and a deep safe cockpit with good side decks giving access to a well protected fore deck.

The present owners purchased her in 2011 and have updated mechanical and rigging systems.
