Aft cockpit, wheel steered, shallow fin keeled, 6 berth cruising yacht.

Designed by Groupe Finot and built by Chantiers Beneteau. Kephi 2 was built in 2000, supplied by us to her current owner and has been sailed locally. SSR registered.

Construction

White GRP hull with gold and maroon style and boot stripes, epoxy primer in 2013.

Fin keel with low centre of gravity bulb.

Wheel steering to cable and chain with semi balanced rudder.

White GRP deck, superstructure and self draining aft cockpit.

Moulded-in non-slip deck surfaces, laid teak on the cockpit seats and bathing platform.

Internal structural grp grid. Joinery work in cherry throughout. 

Engine

Volvo 2020, 3 cylinder diesel engine. Freshwater cooled with heat exchanger and wet exhaust.

Reversing reduction gearbox, shaft drive to fixed pitch 2 bladed propeller.Rope cutter. Ignition panel on pedestal and single lever control.

Engine serviced annually by Fox’s Marina with new raw water pump in 2018 and cooling “stack” cleared in 2017 and new thermostat, 2017.

Tanks

Fuel –             70 litre polythene tank located in cockpit locker

Water –          170 litre polythene tank located under forward berth

Hot water –    25 litre heated by 220v immersion and engine

Electrics

12 volt system – 2 x 12v batteries, 1 x engine start (new in Sept 2020) and 1 x domestic with isolators. 12v distribution panel with breakers. Engine alternator charged. 12v outlet at chart table. 12v interior lighting. 12v navigation lighting.

240 volt system – Shorepower lead to RCCB, battery charger, immersion heater and 240v sockets. 

Spars and Rigging

Deck stepped Sparcraft, single spreader mast and slab reefing boom.

1 x 19 stainless steel standing rigging (original).

Furling headsail system.

Polyester rope running rigging led aft via deck organisers & clutches to cockpit.

Sprung rod kicker.

Spinnaker running gear and spinnaker pole.

Winches

2 x Lewmar 30CST primary winches (new covers 2020)

2 x Lewmar 16CST halyard winches

All winches serviced by Fox’s Marina in June 2020

FYS Comments

A cleverly designed boat with a good, workable cockpit, wide sidedecks and fantastic accommodation. For a 30ft boat it was no surprise the 311 was a massive success for Beneteau.

Supplied by us new to the current owner “Kephi 2” has clearly been very well maintained both cosmetically and mechanically. Now only for sale as the owners are retiring from sailing.
