The Beneteau Antares Serie 9 is a semi-displacement, shaft driven single diesel, fast-cruiser designed by Andre Beneteau and built by Beneteau Dec? 2004, launched spring 2005. Hull No. 401.

A rugged, good looking cruiser/fast fisherman of proven design well known for their good sea keeping abilities. Shaft driven single diesel giving up to 24kts. Flybridge version and fitted with a bowthruster. Internally she has 2 + 2 berths, separate heads/shower, hot & cold water and cabin heating.


Steel blue GRP hull with chine and 2/3 length centre keel.

Protected single rudder with hydraulic steering and emergency back-up tiller. White GRP deck with raised gunwales, superstructure and flybridge.

Moulded in non-slip deck surfaces.

Deep self-draining aft cockpit with teak capping to cockpit coamings. Structural internal GRP moulding with wild cherry internal joinery.


1 x Volvo KAMD43 six cylinder 230hp diesel engine fitted beneath saloon in a sound deadened compartment.

Closed circuit cooling with heat exchanger and wet exhaust.

Hurth reversing reduction gearbox with shaft driven four bladed propeller.

Disc rope cutter.

Ignition panel with rev' counter, oil pressure, temp, and volt meters. Fuel gauge. Cruising speed17/18 knots, Max speed reported as 24 knots with clean bottom. Engine hour LCD meter not operating. New Alternator & water pump 2015.
