As many of you will know, Tony has been running our yacht & motorboat brokerage for the last 12 years, assisting buyers and sellers in over 1,500 sales during that time.

Having reached retirement age just over a year ago, Tony couldn’t give it up and has been working three days a week since then. Sadly for us, he has now decided that it is time to stop and will be leaving us on the 23rd February.

Tony has been instrumental in the success of our brokerage here at Fox’s, with his deep knowledge and easy way. The Directors and staff of Fox’s Yacht Sales and Fox’s Marina would like to thank Tony for his help over the years and wish him all the very best in his deserving retirement.

We will miss him but know we will see Tony regularly as he spends more time on “Peggy”, his motor launch, and hopefully he will join us for our annual Beneteau Owners Weekends.

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) announced  at the London International Boat Show that Beneteau has been appointed Sole Supplier of Motor Yachts to support the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic sailing competitions in Weymouth and Portland, Dorset.
Beneteau is to provide a total of 50 boats to cover the Sailing test event in August 2011 and for use during the 2012 Games by officials and print media following the competition. Some of the motor yachts will also be used as race finish boats.

Motor yachts from a number of ranges will be used including the Antares, Swift Trawler and Flyer ranges. Skippers, crew and support and maintenance services will also be provided through Beneteau’s UK dealer network.

Chris Townsend, LOCOG Commercial Director said: We are delighted to welcome Beneteau on board. This world-class firm complements a strong roster of UK suppliers who are providing huge range of marine services to support our water based events, everything from engines to RIBs and the charter of 19 commercial Weymouth and Portland fishing and dive boats.

Fox’s Yacht Sales have been awarded Regional Winner in the Annual RNLI Supporter Awards 2011. Since we began hosting our Annual Beneteau Owners Weekends in 1999, we have raised amost £20,000 for the RNLI by requesting dontations as entry to this event. We would like to thank our Owners and Prize donators for supporting this event over the last 12 years.
