FYS are pleased to announce that local sailing school, The East Anglian Sailing School have confirmed an order for a new Beneteau First 40 – Carbon Rig. This will be the biggest and fastest yacht that the EASS have purchased with some exciting plans for the boat – called Forty Love, she will be equipped to race and charter standard. Plans for the boat include the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) starting from Las Palmas in November, onto the Caribbean 600 then to the Sydney – Hobart for 2016.
The Beneteau First 40 is delivered ready to race, offering as standard a carbon mast, a lead keel, a black composite helm, with a first-class Raymarine electronics pack. This exciting design includes an innovative canting wheel which releases space between the stern of the boat and the cockpit without weighing the boat down with a second helm station.

The new Beneteau Oceanis 35 has arrived in Ipswich. The Oceanis 35 was Premièred at the Cannes International Boat Show 2014, and consequently was at the European Boat shows – Paris, London and Düsseldorf where she was well received, she also featured across the Atlantic at the Annapolis Boat Show receiving Cruising World’s 2015 Boat of the Year in the Midsize Cruisers category.
The Oceanis 35 offers style and innovation, fun and function. Following on from the success of the award winning Oceanis 38 Benteau are pleased to launch the innovative new Oceanis 35 with a chine hull. The contemporary interior layout is well apportioned, with the galley incorporated in the Saloon area, making full use of the space within. The Oceanis 35 is offered in a Day Sailer, Cruiser and Weekend version in addition to a two or three cabin arrangement.
